Mrs. Prickle
Mrs. Prickle is a European Hedgehog, she enjoys crunching on ice and reading. When not in her office, you can find her reading to the schools students in the office. "She is like a ray of sunshine in a black room" a student remarked once about her. She decided to start a school for hedgehogs in 1995, where they could learn and study about hedgehog traditions, etc. Since they are not officially a rodent, Ms. prickle felt that they needed a place to feel safe, she was often bullied when she was in school.
Frederick Von Prick: Grade 1 Teacher
Frederick Von Prick lives in Hamstervill, and is also a Tail Tennis Coach (info HERE). He has been teaching for over 25 years, he enjoys teaching middle school math, but also enjoys art and science. Frederick is a four toed hedgehog and was born in France. He is often late for faculty meeting because of his passion of fixing things, he will get so carried away in fixing a clock that he will forget the time ; )
Choco Prickli: Grade 2 Teacher
Choco Prickli is a former Prickle Ping Pong (see more info HERE) player. She had to stop (never say quit!) after she broke 45 prickles. Choco enjoys teaching 2nd Grade, she particularly enjoys math and likes to teach it with baked goods that the students may eat after the lesson. She started teaching after her Prickle Ping Pong Accident 15 years ago. She took one of her classes 1 - 6th Grade and says she would like to do so again, unfortunately, Ms. Prickle doesn't want that too happen, though all teachers would like to do so.
Cassidy Alexandra Van De Mount: Grade 3 Teacher
Cassidy Alexandra Van De Mount is a former ballet dancer, she stopped, however, when Mrs. Prickle asked her to teach in her new academy. Another reason she stopped dancing was because her new teacher had a thing against hedgehogs. She enjoys baking and cooking and gives her students a new recipe to try every week. She also does gardening with her class.
Lizza Arezzo: Grade 4 Teacher
Lizza Arezza is a European Hedgehog and was born in Italy, she has very soft prickles. She enjoys teaching 4th Grade because she enjoys teaching hedgehog traditions and drawing Celtic knots. Her mother, Lyliana, was originally from Scandinavia, and she spent many holidays there.
May Sunflowers: Grade 5 Teacher
May Sunflowers is a part time prickle stylist, and will always surprise her class with the way her fur is styled. May is also a major bookworm and has "eaten" her way through half of the public library, where she also often volunteers. Her students most enjoy her creative writing classes and her art classes. May is good friends with Madame De Pompadour and the two often have long chats over tea.
Mr. Gruffleton Von Bucheckern: Grade 6 Teacher
Mr. Gruffleton Von Bucheckern, or Mr. G, was born in Germany. His favorite subject is history, and his students can expect to get a pop quiz at least once a week. As a former historian, a cat skeleton once fell on him and made his snout bend down (see picture above). He is also the proud winner of the shortest prickle competition that was held in New Lemmington.
Dance/Exploration Teacher: Madame De Pompadour
Madame De Pompadour teaches Dance and Exploration. In her dance classes, students learn the national and traditional hedgehog dances, as well as a couple of her own favorites. Every week they study a new dance type/routine/music. In her Exploration classes, students learn about local wild life, how to survive in most weather, and more.
Handwork Teacher: Sir Francis Burrow
Sir Francis Burrow is a prairie dog, he likes knitting, which he learned from his Grandmother. He later learned to crochet, pearl, and embroider. He also founded a after school sewing club that students can attend once a week. He was born in Mexico, but moved to Hamstervill in 2015. Sir Francis also enjoys playing chess, Long Jump (info HERE), and reading.
PE Teacher: Willy Summersalt
Willy Summersalt is a Australian Swamp Rat, many people ask him if his name is misspelled, "Shouldn't it be Somersault?", but "Summersalt" is what the officials in England wrote down when he moved there from Australia. He teaches PE with great enthusiasm and insists that all students should be able swim. He teaches all grades (1-6) and organised an "Olympics" every year for the students.
